What a pediatric cardiologist does
A pediatric cardiologist follows a child’s heart from birth to adulthood; this list also includes perinatal cardiologists, who examine the baby’s heart on ultrasound during pregnancy. Children come with a heart murmur the pediatrician has heard, a heart defect found before or after birth, rhythm changes on an ECG, or for check-ups after heart surgery. Any operation is planned together with a cardiac surgeon, and after 18 care usually passes to an adult cardiologist. If your child has been tested before, bring the ECGs and echo reports, plus the maternity ward discharge papers for a baby.
Frequently asked questions
When does a child need a pediatric cardiologist?
Most often the pediatrician refers the child after an exam or an ECG, but the child’s own complaints count too: tiring quickly and getting out of breath when running, chest pain or a pounding heart, fainting, or heart disease at a young age in close relatives. You can book a private clinic yourself, but bring the pediatrician’s notes. If the child turns blue, struggles to breathe or does not come round after fainting, call 103.
Where can a child have an ECG or a heart ultrasound?
In some clinics the pediatric cardiologist does the heart ultrasound (echocardiogram) during the visit, while the ECG and 24-hour Holter are done in the same clinic’s functional diagnostics room. When booking, ask whether the tests can be done on the day of the consultation and what they cost separately. A small child lies still for a few minutes more easily when fed and holding a favorite toy.
Which Yerevan clinics have pediatric cardiologists?
Pediatric cardiologists in this list work at 15 clinics, most often here: Nork-Marash Medical Center (12), "Muratsan" University Hospital Complex (4), and CardioLab Medical Center (2). Addresses and phone numbers for all of them are in the “Where these pediatric cardiologists see patients” list above.
Do any pediatric cardiologists see patients in Russian or English?

About this list
This list covers doctors whom Yerevan clinics name on their own websites: currently 25 doctors from 15 clinics. The list is incomplete and keeps growing; each card leads to a page with the practice location and the clinic’s phone number. There are no such doctors from other Armenian cities in the directory yet.
The districts with the most doctors on this list are Nork-Marash (12), Kentron (4), and Arabkir (4). The list includes 20 women and 5 men — you can choose with the “Gender” filter.
Cards where the clinic lists experience, education or a consultation price come first, then the rest. Within each group, cards with a photo come first. This is not a ranking: places in the list are not for sale. How we collect and check information
Doctors of related specialties are in the list above. Ask the clinic about the cost of a consultation: some clinics have their price list on their Medaro page.
Medaro is a directory: we do not make diagnoses or recommend a particular doctor. Information about doctors comes from clinic websites; before your visit, check the appointment and the cost with the clinic.
